This course will examine how Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs) and Law Enforcement Authorities (LEAs) cooperate and the impediments to their closer cooperation. The course also provides recommendations to help overcome these barriers. We hope this course will improve and refresh your knowledge and skills.
At the end of this course, you will have:
- Improved knowledge regarding the strengths of and impediments to effective cooperation between FIUs and LEAs/prosecutors; and
- Understood how financial intelligence is effectively managed among the competent authorities responsible for combatting money laundering, associated predicate offences and financing of terrorism.
