| From September 28–30, ECOFEL, together with host FIU-Kenya, will co-organize the Eastern and Southern Africa Regional Workshop on Virtual Assets. The workshop will bring together FIU analysts and experts to deepen their understanding of Virtual Assets-related crime and advanced investigative techniques. The programme will cover crime trends, blockchain investigations, chain hopping, mixers, sanctions evasion, DeFi, and emerging virtual asset risks. Participants will also benefit from practical case presentations and hands-on exercises delivered by industry experts and FIU practitioners. We look forward to three days of learning, collaboration, and knowledge sharing with colleagues from across the region.
